Brian Wells was a pizza delivery man who participated in a bank robbery in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2003. He was apprehended by the police after the robbery, but claimed that he was an innocent victim and that he had been forced to wear a collar bomb.
Shortly after his arrest, the bomb exploded, killing Wells. It was later discovered that Wells was involved in the planning of the robbery, and that the collar bomb was in fact real and not a hoax as he had claimed.
A video of Wells pleading for help, with the bomb strapped to his neck, was recovered by the police. The video is disturbing and shows Wells in distress, begging for someone to help him.
The Brian Wells case was highly publicized and remains a controversial and mysterious case. Many questions remain unanswered about who was actually responsible for the murder of Brian Wells and the plot to rob the bank.
